J.D. launched his career in real estate in 2015, building on a professional background of nine years in the Metro Nashville Police Department, K9 Division. J.D. left law enforcement in 2016 to support his wife’s career at Saint Thomas Hospital West and to help raise their three young children.
That same year, J.D. worked daily with a real estate agent to facilitate the family's successful home sale, new home purchase, and relocation across town to be closer to his wife’s workplace and great schools for the kids. During that endeavor, J.D. got a first-hand view of real estate, a career that could allow him to help other families experience home ownership in Nashville.
A University of Tennessee Knoxville graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, J.D. has always been fascinated by human connection and the countless decisions families arrive at to make life work. Today, J.D. leverages those interests with his ever-growing real estate knowledge, ardent people person skills, and cheerful charisma to advocate for his clients, whether they’re looking to relocate to Nashville from across America or just hoping to sell their current home and move up the street.

A Knoxville native who moved to Nashville in 2007, J.D. fell in love with Music City on day #1 and has fallen in love with the city every day since. As Nashville has grown from a small state capital to a bustling urban hub and the region’s most iconic cultural melting pot, J.D. has found his calling in helping other families make the 'Athens of the South' their home.
The real estate space may have grown immensely competitive, but J.D. advocates for his clients and understands their questions, concerns, and obstacles. He’s someone who will ensure every family member’s needs are met, down to picking a neighborhood with great schools and a park or playground around the corner.
